Client: Oceania Dairy
Overview:
Oceania Dairy Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co. Ltd (Yili), which is listed on the Shanghai stock exchange. Yili is China’s largest dairy producer and its 2015 revenue of US$ 8.6 billion made it the 8th largest dairy company in the world.
Oceania’s new state-of-the-art Glenavy processing plant has been designed for the production of milk powder for export to China where it is being used by Yili to produce infant formula.
Driving the new plant required a reliable energy source in the form of a 30MW coal fired steam boiler..
Solution:
Brightwater was able to offer Foster Wheeler Boiler technology. Foster Wheeler are recognised worldwide for their boiler design and was able to offer specific technology for efficient firing on Lignite which was the specified fuel.
Brightwater undertook all aspects of the project delivery including the overall design, civil works, mechanical installation, automation and electrical and commissioning.
Brightwater managed fabrication works in India and China and the entire mechanical and electrical design was design verified by Lloyds in England to ensure compliance with the stringent boiler and seismic codes in New Zealand.
